Paul Palmintere dancing in the center with Robin Adele Borjas, in an early Tango class, with instructor Orlando Paiva, Sr. in back looking on. This was taken in 1988, at 3rd Street Dance in West Hollywood, CA, which in those days was known as Studio of the Performing Arts. The owner, Peri Rogovin, was an early promoter of tango in Los Angeles, and her studio became the center of tango instruction in Los Angeles (and probably in the entire Western USA) for many, many years. Orlando Paiva would later perform in Robert Duval’s movie, “Assasination Tango” in 2002, filmed shortly before his death in 2003.
