Paul Palmintere (on the right) with some of his students in Palm Springs. In the mid-2000’s, I had the good fortune of teaching Tango at a very famous restaurant & dance hall in Palm Springs, “Billy Reed’s,” an old-time, beautiful restaurant and banquet hall that harkens back to the time of Sinatra. I had a wonderful situation there every Monday night, and I taught Tango classes, private lessons, and even deejayed a “milonga” (tango dance party). Palm Springs became my best Tango situation ever. Seated on a stool in the center of the photo is a lady who became a major student of mine, Margo Baxley, and she invited us into her home often, where this photo was taken around 2006.
